We are seeking a forward-thinking Recruiting Manager to lead a small team of recruiters and oversee high-volume recruiting efforts for skilled trades positions across the southeast. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of recruiting strategy and technology, with a passion for leveraging AI tools, automation, and data-driven insights to transform how talent is sourced, evaluated, and hired.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Talent Strategy
Manage, coach, and develop a team of recruiters responsible for hiring high volumes of skilled trades professionals (e.g., electricians, HVAC techs, plumbers).
Partner with field operations and business leaders to understand workforce needs and align recruiting plans accordingly.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the recruiting team.
Technology-Driven Recruiting Operations
Lead the implementation and optimization of recruiting technology platforms, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), AI resume screening tools, and candidate engagement platforms.
Identify and deploy AI and automation solutions that streamline repetitive recruiting tasks (e.g., sourcing, scheduling, resume parsing).
Analyze recruitment data to uncover trends, optimize hiring funnels, and improve quality-of-hire metrics.
Ensure recruiters are trained on the latest sourcing tools, recruiting CRMs, and AI platforms.
Process Optimization & Compliance
Standardize workflows, job templates, and hiring practices across multiple markets to ensure consistency and compliance.
Champion process efficiency through the adoption of recruiting dashboards, KPI monitoring tools, and pipeline automation.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policy.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
Build a candidate experience strategy that is tech-enabled, responsive, and tailored to the skilled trades demographic.
Work cross-functionally with marketing and field teams to promote the employer brand across digital and physical recruiting channels.
Represent the company at hiring events, trade schools, and community organizations—both virtually and in person.
Qualifications:
5+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years managing or mentoring a team.
Deep familiarity with recruiting technologies including ATS, sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume), and AI solutions (e.g., resume screening bots, chat-based scheduling, candidate matching).
Track record of high-volume hiring in blue-collar or skilled trades industries.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics and optimize performance.
Comfortable navigating remote or decentralized workforce dynamics across multiple states.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Experience introducing or scaling recruiting technology across a regional or national footprint.
Prior experience with AI-based platforms (e.g., HireEZ, Paradox, Eightfold, or equivalent).
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
